Dharamkot is a must-visit location for anyone travelling through India. With spectacular mountain views, chilled hippie vibes (and chilled hippies), epic treks and a huge selection of experiences, events and classes to take part in, crusty travellers flock here to escape the noise from India's busier cities. It's a traveller's dream. Moreover, with its many cafes delivering excellent food, gorgeous coffee, and (without mentioning the frequent power cuts) reliable wifi, it's also a digital nomad's heaven. There are plenty of places to work from in this remote worker's paradise. We've narrowed it down to our top 3 so you can spend less time looking for good wifi and more time soul-searching.

Trek and Dine
Probably the most well-known of Dharamkot's many restaurants/cafes, Trek and Dine is ideal for digital nomads. Having been reviving weary hikers with delicious food and drinks since 1997, the restaurant features a wide variety of dishes, from Indian curries to Mexican fajitas to Israeli breakfasts. It also has very good coffee. There's a huge workspace upstairs, but if you're visiting for lunch, dinner or just drinks, then the downstairs atmosphere might be preferable. Try the hearty Spanish breakfast for some pre-hike energy.

The Nook
With an astounding view of Dharamkot's misty mountains, The Nook is the perfect place to wind down. It sits above Nomadgao (a coliving space where we stayed for about 6 weeks and highly recommend) and hosts karaoke nights, games nights and a chess club amongst many other events. The internet is by far the most reliable we found in Dharamkot, however, we have to mention that the service can be slower than in other places nearby. It does have a great atmosphere though, and they often have live music/DJs in the evening; perfect for decompressing after a full day of digital nomading.

Sukoon
For cosy vibes and cocktails, head to this quiet cafe overlooking Dharamkot's amazing mountains. Sukoon delivers all the essentials for remote workers; speedy wifi, comfy seats and a relaxed environment. The food is great too (try the houmous plates!), and the cocktails are perfect for an after-work celebration. They also offer hot coffee and tea for a very reasonable price, and the peach iced tea is incredible.
